The Flash Season 2 Preview Video Includes New Jay Garrick Footage

The trailer shows Garrick and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) clasping hands, apparently teaming up together as two Flashes. It can also be seen that The Flash is now some sort of celebrity, with fan shirts and merchandised inspired by him-possibly after he saves Central City from a possible obliteration in the final moments of the Season 1 finale. And the star himself dished out a season two promotional clip, on top of stills and promo images released by the network. In the DC Comics, Jay Garrick was the very first version of The Flash, with Barry Allen making his debut in 1956. “They’re doing these characters justice, I think”.

The Flash Season 2 kicks off on Tuesday, October 6, at 8 p.m. on The CW.

It has also been confirmed that characters from last season, such as Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and his sister, the Golden Glider (Peyton List) will return.

Earth-2 is expected to factor heavily into The Flash when it returns, and it’s already been confirmed that Atom-Smasher (played by former WWE Superstar and Haven actor Adam “Edge” Copeland) hails from that alternate reality.

Later on, DC Comics explained that both existed but in parallel worlds, a system that “The Flash” season 2 will apparently use to explain how these two exist with the same powers.
