Jaguar F-Pace: A Macan Killer?
Priced at United States dollars42,390 (around INR 27.96 lakhs), the mid-level F-Pace 35t houses a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol motor which is capable of 340 PS. 0-100 kmph sprint is managed in 5.4 seconds and the top speed stands at 250 kmph.
After being officially unveiled during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere, just a few days ago, the Jaguar F-Pace is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the company quietly announcing its pricing list in the United States.
The clean, responsive 178 hp (180 PS) 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel is the version that most will opt for thanks to its low emissions of just 129g/km. Meant totake on the Porsche Macan and the Audi Q5 when it lands stateside, the F-Pace will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 producing 296 hp as the base gasoline engine. According to the automaker, the cheapest version of the model is called the F-Pace 20d and it can become yours from 40,990 Dollars. Stepping up to the 35t AWD model, with its 340-hp supercharged V-6 engine, will cost ,385. On the other hand, the F-Pace does not offer a four-cylinder petrol engine version, so if you start to compare it against similarly powered Q5s, X3s and GLKs (we’re still waiting for the GLC here), the Jaguar F-Pace actually comes out better. The vehicle is offered in three trim levels namely Premium, Prestige and R-Sport.
Jaguar’s F-Pace crossover isn’t set to go on sale until early next year, but already you can build out the sporty tall wagon online. There are also five different wheel options offered while black roof rails can also be ordered.
