Volunteers Working To Get Voters Registered Today
November 5th is election day, and if you want to vote but still need to register, you have until October 5th.
Dozens of students signed up to be newly registered voters or changed their address on Tallahassee Community College’s campus on Tuesday. As for the online registration, Iowa is also setting up their own system online. Locally upwards of a dozen groups are joining together to spread the word on how citizens can protect their right to vote by making sure they are properly registered.
After registering, voters should download the GeauxVote Mobile smartphone app. The app provides registration information as well as voting districts, sample ballots, polling place information and election results.

Iowans with disabilities are among those being urged to get on the rolls today as the Hawkeye State celebrates National Voter Registration Day.
Registrar Jeri Hadley said registration is a simple process made easier with the state’s new electronic applications available through county and state’s voter registration pages. “I encourage all Hoosiers to register this month and to make their voices heard on Election Day”. “We are working hard to promote state “tools and rules” for voting, as well as any registration deadlines that may be approaching”.
NVRD, observed September 22, 2015, is powered by Rock the Vote, which offers an online portal to register to vote. As the event website urges, “Make National Voter Registration Day one of your favorite national holidays”.
