#PizzaRat: Video shows New York City rodent carrying pizza slice down subway

YouTuber Matt Little posted a video on Monday of a rat dragging a rather large slice of pizza down the stairs to a subway station.

Pizza rat!… The little guy tried his best to get his pizza home.

Should that happen, the casting work is already done.

At the end of the footage, Pizza Rat is seen staring up longingly at the pizza. Of course, he’s been most recently known as the voice of the AFLAC duck in commercials.

If you’re confused about why a pizza-carrying rat was trending higher than nearly any other subject in the world today, you’re not alone.

The rat quickly became known as #PizzaRat on social media.

We get it, Ratatouille. “We, too, want to Netflix and chill (while scarfing down pizza)”, Esquire wrote of the fearless ball of fur. This video is literally all of us.

Some on Twitter just wanted let pizza rat do their thing. The final moments of the 14-second video show the rat abandoning its dinner after being discovered by the wily cameraman.
