Leighton Meester, Adam Brody welcome first child

Congratulations are in order for Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, who welcomed their first child.

Meester’s Gossip Girl BFF Blake Lively welcomed daughter James with husband Ryan Reynolds in January, while Brody’s ex, Rachel Bilson, gave birth to her and Hayden Christensen’s baby girl Briar Rose in November 2014.

The couple began dating after they co-starred in 2011’s The Oranges, keeping their romance a secret for several months.

The private couple hadn’t publicly acknowledged the pregnancy and representatives for both stars have yet to confirm the baby news.

The actress had hinted at having little ones soon, telling Nylon, “Most people I know are starting to get married”.

“It was a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends”, a source revealed to E! I like the grown-up stuff.

But when asked how many children he and Leighton wanted, during a Reddit AMA, Adam replied: “I say twelve”.

“My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important”, Meester said after getting married.
