Patrick Dempsey teases Bridget Jones’s Baby start on Instagram

Indeed, the 49-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star took to Instagram yesterday to confirm all rumours with a post of himself on set and the caption: “Nice to be working in England”. Renee & Colin are an absolute joy to work with!

In the picture, he poses in the garden of Pinewood Studios, holding an umbrella (yes, it does rain a lot in England) where he’s filming the third installment of the franchise. “I really like it here!” he captioned the pic.

Millions of fans were left in tears when Patrick Dempsey’s character Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd was killed off on Grey’s Anatomy.

Breaking hearts everywhere, Jone’s other love interest, Daniel Cleaver, played by Hugh Grant, will not be returning.

Director Sharon Maguire, who was at the helm for Bridget Jones’s Diary in 2001, will be back in charge for the new movie, expected to hit cinemas in 2016.

The scenes featured Bridget sitting on a mystery man’s shoulders as Ed sang from the stage. But they knew the cat would be out the bag the minute people saw her at the show.

However, sources at the time claimed it was just a body double for Renée.

Certainly if the love-rivalry theme continues – as per the first two films – then speculation on the plot is over who might be the father, if and when the identity is revealed. “None of the show’s main talent have been involved yet”.
