Will Bar Refaeli get a no-fly zone for her wedding?
Bar Refaeli gets married in the Carmel Forest Spa Resort Hotel, located near Haifa in the north of Israel.
The 30-year-old supermodel tied the knot with businessman Adi Ezra, 40, Thursday afternoon at a ceremony in northern Israel after a prolonged battle over a no-fly zone in the skies over the ceremony.
But Transport Minister Yisrael Katz then threatened to sack the CAA boss if he did not overturn that decision.
On Thursday evening the transport ministry told The Jerusalem Post that the skies had stayed open to all air traffic.
Five drones, two helicopters and an observation balloon are scheduled to circle the area as part of the wedding – including photographing the affair and bringing the couple to the wedding, according to Israeli reports. This decision followed Katz’s threat to fire Civil Aviation Authority head Joel Feldschuh on Wednesday night, should he refuse to comply. Refaeli, who wore a attractive Chloé bridal gown at the nuptials, changed her wedding outfit into another Chloé dress for the reception. “I consider very serious this attempt to act against by instructions and the policies I have determined”.
“The skies belong to the entire public and no monopoly should be granted to anyone for commercial reasons”, the letter read. News has learned.Famous Israeli singer, Shlomi Shabbat, who is also a judge on The Voice Israel, performed his song “The Beginning of the World” as the bride walked down the aisle to the chuppah to meet her groom, the Israeli websites Mako and Walla! reported.
And, addressing the head of the CAA directly, he raged, “If the skies above Bar Refaeli’s wedding won’t be open, you will be removed from your post”.
