Button tight-lipped over F1 future
Jenson Button has remained tight-lipped on his Formula 1 future, but has insisted that he is in “good talks” with McLaren-Honda.
The 2009 world champion has struggled this season with McLaren-Honda and arrived in Japan amid speculation that we would announce his retirement from the sport.
When asked “how much is a little bit”, in reference to his initial response, and the suggestion that “talks” are continuing, again Button laughed.

Both Button and Spanish team mate Fernando Alonso have collected multiple penalties due to repeated engine problems and the Briton has scored just six points in 13 races.
Rumours have been circulating that the British driver, who is preparing for this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, is on the verge of quitting the sport. It is the challenge of fighting at the front and the possibility of fighting at the front. Since the last race there’s no more information to give you.
“We’re here to concentrate on this weekend”, said Button, who won at Suzuka in 2011 and is married to Japanese lingerie model Jessica Michibata.
“What today? Or after this?”, he grinned, stalling teasingly when asked what his plans were.
“I don’t think any driver has joy when they are not fighting for victories”, he replied.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel said it would be “a big loss” should Button choose to retire at the end of the season. We know he is quick. “After Singapore I wasn’t joyful, no. I’ll be happy next year, that’s the important thing”. He deserves to be a champion. McLaren has to take up an option on Button’s contract for 2016, though racing director Eric Boullier has said the team intends to retain F1’s most experienced driver for next season.
