Chevrolet spokesman Tom Wilkinson told Edmunds that pricing will be announced next week.

As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado is going to be offered, in the cheapest version, with a 4.3 liter V6 engine under its hood, producing a total of 285 HP (212 kW) and 413 Nm (305 lb-ft) of torque.
In addition to the available OnStar and 4G LTE Wi-Fi, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup is now available MyLink infotainment system features Apple CarPlay (compatible with iPhone 5 and newer), which allows the driver to make calls, send and receive messages, and control music via the touchscreen or voice-activated through Siri.
Chevrolet said the 2016 Silverado also will be available with a remote locking tailgate and wireless phone charging on LT and LTZ double cab and crew cab models with available bucket seats. Additionally, the new Silverado’s trim levels are even more distinct, as the WT trim features a chrome grille with black inserts, and compact HID headlights, while the LT and LTZ models get a full chrome grille and bumpers.
Optional safety features include forward-collision alert, lane-keep assist and high-beam headlamp assist. For 2016, Chevy is expanding this transmission to the LTZ, Z71, and High Country Silverados with the 5.3-liter V-8.
The 5.3-liter V8 has 355 HP and 338 lb-ft (458 Nm) of torque and can return 23 mpg on the highway, being the most fuel efficient V8 in any pickup while the 6.2-liter V8 still has 420 HP and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque.
The Silverado High Country also will be available with power articulating running boards.
GM hopes the updates to the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will keep sales of its beloved pickup on an upward trend. Silverado’s emphasis on connectivity may be a real competitive advantage as well.
