7-Foot, 440-Pound High School Lineman Astounds
It’s not often that we delve into the world of high school football, but we’ll make a small exception – figuratively speaking, of course. The giant among giants.
You see, Krahn stands 7-feet tall and weighs in at a whopping 440 pounds. He’s a defensive tackle for ML King High in Riverside, California.
Needless to say, he towers over the rest of the players on the field.
Let’s hope Krahn keeps having fun trucking people his senior year and gets to where he wants to go in football.
To put the sheer size of the high schooler in perspective, MaxPreps writes that Krahn is “attempting to shed some pounds by adhering to a 3,000-calorie diet comprised mainly of fish and chicken”. When he goes to amusement parks he is often unable to ride rollercoasters … because he’s just too big. A player of his size posed a threat to other players. In his own home, Krahn often has to duck to avoid spinning ceiling fans. “In his first football practice, he broke one of his teammate’s arms by falling on top of him”, according to a feature by The Press-Enterprise. He excels in the weight room, but struggles with his footwork.
Whatever happens, his size will be an asset for Krahn. And if that doesn’t work out?
