Manchester United clash could disrupt live ‘Coronation Street’ episode
Last night’s episode saw the David (Jack P. Shepherd), Kylie (Paula Lane) and Callum (Sean Ward) situation come to a grisly head, when evil Callum was bumped off.
After realising she had murdered the father of her son, Max, Kylie had to keep an emotional Sarah under control and stop her from calling the police.
Joyner, who plays Tanya Branning, referred to Ian Beale by the name of the actor (Adam Woodyatt) who plays him, saying “How’s Adam?” during the live transmission.
Things look set to get even more complicated for the Platts as Callum’s pal comes round to their house looking for him, unaware he is buried in the garage.
As Kylie and David whispered to each other, the “dead body” was spotted breathing beneath the duvet.
After the episode, Stephen will then jump from the live stream to ITV2 where he’ll be rounding up the cast to get their reactions immediately after the live and answer fan questions via Twitter.
Corrie’s live filming went surprising smoothly, apart from at one point when Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) appeared to sing along to a Taylor Swift song and the camera suffered a slight wobble in the first five minutes.
A claim which will undoubtedly be tested during the live episode.
Lorraine Kelly wrote: “Just caught up with Corrie / big congrats to cast and crew”.
Director John Anderson said all aspects of the episode were carefully thought out and rehearsed to ensure a faultless performance.
Coronation Street live aired days after it was announced that Stuart Blackburn would be leaving his role as the soap’s producer.
Corrie producers had asked viewers what they wanted to see on the blackboard at the Rovers using the hashtag #CorrieBoard. “As an actor that’s the goal, that’s what makes me happy”.
“But no, he never, ever imagined that they might win the fight because of the amount of fear he’d put in them all over the past year”.
