Mercedes-Maybach S 500 and S 600 Launched in India
Mercedes has launched the luxury Maybach S600 in India and a whooping amount of Rs 2.6 crore is what you will have to shell out(before taxes and registration) to park this ultimate luxury vehicle in your garage.
Earlier today, the Mercedes-Maybach S 500, the most luxurious Mercedes-Benz ever to be locally produced in India, was rolled out of the assembly lines by Eberhard Kern, managing director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Piyush Arora, executive director, Operations, Mercedes-Benz India.
Merc’s list of locally assembled cars now includes the C, E, M, S Class models and cars under CLA, GLA and GA class.
The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is not only the German carmaker’s most premium offering in India but is also the first to be powered by its largest engine yet – the V12. Unveiled in November a year ago, the models bring back the “Maybach” nameplate, but this time, integrated within the “S Class” series.
Additionally, the cabin features front centre armrests with nappa leather upholstery with embossed Maybach crests, analogue clock with an IWC design, rear seats with “Hot Stone Massage”, optional 2×2 seats with folding table, standard extended leg support for both rear passengers or the rear seat entertainment system. Moreover, the B-pillar is also covered in chrome.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 600’s V12 bi-turbo engine generates an output of 530 hp, with a displacement of 5980 cc and a maximum torque of 830 Nm. Maybach S600, which according to the claims made by the company, is the quietest auto in the world, made its global debut past year. Both prices are ex-showroom, Pune. “Mercedes-Maybach is one of the most technologically advanced products and its local production reflects the highest level of refinement and implementation of advanced technology and flexible processes in our manufacturing process”.
All the units that the company expected to sell for the Maybach were sold even before the launch of the auto in India.
It completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds while the top speed is 250 km/h.
