Xbox Ultimate Game Sale on July 7: discounts, game deals, and more

The feature is available in preview form to some users, but it will soon be available for all Xbox users.

After long debates about compatibility with old titles, Microsoft chose to support Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.

The company’s official Twitter stated, “Yes, we ARE talking to Microsoft about making XBox 360 Burnout Paradise available on XBox One via backwards-compatibility!” Windows 10 will release commercially on July 29, and the Xbox One streaming will be launched alongside the operating system’s release.

This update prepares for game streaming to Windows 10 (launching July 29th) and our upcoming Backward Compatibility feature launching in a few months.

At the E3 2015 conference held these days in Los Angeles, Phil Spencer announced that starting this winter you can use the Xbox 360 game discs on Xbox One. “Even if you sell your 360, keep your games!'”. Microsoft will offer them another 10 percent discount from the retail price of all the games included in the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale.

Another barrier Microsoft has to face is get permission from the publisher to make a specific game backwards compatible to the Xbox One.

I don’t think Burnout being relatively low on the list means fans wouldn’t want to play it. It was, after all, one of the most acclaimed racing games of the last console generation. “Cortana helps you elevate your game, gets smarter over time, and works across all your Windows 10 PCs, tablets and phones through voice commands”.
