For Alabama, the game falls between the loss and a road trip to No. 7 Georgia, which beat Louisiana-Monroe 51-14 on September 5. Defensively, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks yield 146.5 yards in passing and 201 yards in rushing. Ceaser has been on a tear so far this season averaging 10 catches and 130 yards per game in his last three contests and has a 33-game streak with at least one reception, which ranks fourth in FBS. The duo are being targeted by Smith on 63% of his pass attempts. ULM features another in a string of tempo offenses that will get the ball out quick. Alabama will look to fix their current offensive problems by lining up and running the ball at the ULM defense over and over.

McKinney, the nation’s No. 13-ranked safety in the class, took an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for the Alabama-Ole Miss game. In rushing, Derrick Henry rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown in 23 attempts. His backup, Kenyan Drake, is putting up 5.6 yards per carry in limited duty.

At first glance, 288.0 yards per game in the air seems to be quite impressive. Saban has said Jake Coker will be the starting quarterback. ArDarius Stewart leads the team in receptions with 13 while O.J. Howard is the team leader in receiving yards at 175. That’s because Nick Saban believes the days of smash-mouth football are over. This season’s squad sports what many are calling the best front seven in college football. They have been able to keep every opponent on the schedule from winning the line of scrimmage. The redshirt freshman is 49-of-62 passing for 576 yards in two games with five touchdown tosses against only one interception. Eddie Jackson and Cyrus Jones have each intercepted one pass this season.

Prediction: Off the top of my head, I can not think of many things scarier than an angry Alabama coming off of a loss. That’s been another bad trend dating back to last season when the Tide allowed an SEC-leading 82 third-down conversions last season (37 percent).

Although the Tide took the loss, McKinney told Rivals.com’s Woody Wommack that being on campus “felt right”, and the atmosphere played its role in him making a decision now rather than later.
