‘The Muppets’ TV Show 2015 Cast
And the documentary-style (a la The Office) new show is meant to continue to blur the lines between “the real” Muppets and the personas we’ve grown to love. The Muppets are oddly low energy, and although the show mocks itself for using the exhausted mockumentary format, that doesn’t make it any less exhausted. There were also some hilarious bits with Fozzie and his interspecies human girlfriend (and her parents); plus, Gonzo is one of the writers and he’s pushing out skits like Dancing With the Czars, featuring “Catherine the Great … dancer and Ivan the bad … dancer”.
In a decidedly altered rendition of the Muppets, Jim Henson would likely be shocked to hear Kermit announce, “It’s sort of an adult Muppet show”. However, banks would refuse it. Poor Tom Bergeron would be always seen around Muppets as a replacement guest and gives some funniest jokes.
In the premiere episode, airing tonight at 8, we get the sad news that Kermit (the show’s press materials don’t credit the voice actors) and Miss Piggy have broken up.
“You may boo”, Piggy said when they showed a photo of Denise, a marketing exec (and fellow pig) at ABC.
Miss Piggy has also started to move – on Monday she revealed the top things she’s looking for in a date, including “A-List:, photogenic, and having a lot of money and being sensitive to her needs”.
It looks like ESPN’s added a few more faces to their vast lineup of National Football League analysts, but these ones are a little unusual.
“I want to be able to sit and watch with my 8-year-old and we would both enjoy” it, Prady says.
And if you’ve ever wondered what drew her to the amphibian it was is hunky good looks.
“ABC has ruined The Muppets“, claims the petition, urging readers to send it to everyone they know as well as reach out to ABC to “drop all plans” to air The Muppets. The new comedy will debut on Tuesday, September 22 at 10PM on ABC. “Working with Frank Caliendo is like meeting everyone at ESPN, all rolled into one person”, said Kermit the Frog.
