Jessica Jones Shows off Her Superpowers in New Trailer

Now another Jessica Jones teaser has surfaced by way of the Spanish Facebook page for the Marvel series. She might be the first Marvel superhero to be hungover (give or take whatever was up with Tony Stark in Iron Man 2), and in sharp contrast to the Avengers, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This is, admittedly, a odd choice for the first piece of actual footage to be released, but on the flip side, it’s also nicely unexpected. With four Netflix series planned in all, the idea is for each to be a different “flavor” while still existing in the same universe-kind of like the relationship between the individual movies in the MCU.

The tiny tease is a flawless lead-in for the show, and a ideal little hint of Jessica Jones’s comic book origin story. This is all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders, to premiere only on Netflix sometime in 2018. It would be cool if we got little teasers like this right up until the full series trailer hits, which will probably a few weeks before the show ends up on Netflix.

After her short-lived stint as a superhero, Jones is rebuilding her life and career as a “hot-tempered, sardonic, bada- private detective in Hell’s Kitchen” while plagued by self-loathing and a “wicked case of PTSD”.

The series stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
