Rogue Tarantula Brings Down Delta Flight

Although it may seem like the beginning of a far-fetched Hollywood movie, passengers travelling on Delta Air Lines on Wednesday were delayed due to an escaped tarantula. Passengers were let off the plane and put on another flight.

These people were told that their flight would be delayed several hours, “out of an abundance of caution”.

The captain then ordered that the aircraft should be held in Baltimore overnight to ensure that no more spiders had managed to find their way onto the plane. They have informed passengers about the missing spiders and began searching for them.

Flight 1525 was supposed to take off from Baltimore-Washington worldwide Thurgood Marshall Airport at 7 p.m. and arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson global just after 9 p.m. “The safety and security of our passengers is our top priority”.

No one in the main body of the aircraft saw the spider.

According to the Atlantic Journal Constitution on Thursday, there was a three-hour delay for those folks heading to Baltimore as a new plane had to be found and the luggage moved.

The baboon tarantula is only mildly harmful to humans. The Baboon tarantulas are burnt orange in color and have fangs.

Baboon tarantulas are known for being defensive with a tendency to hiss when irritated, and they may deliver a mildly venomous bite, according to arachnid experts.
