Michigan’s Amara Darboh makes ridiculous one-handed catch
Darboh was seven when he moved to the US and lived in a house with his older sister and 12 other people.
Darboh was born in Sierra Leone, and when he was only a child his family worked to leave the country due to Civil War.
Well, Michigan wide receiver Amara Darboh is certainly up to that task.
“Being a citizen and being part of a great country is hard to put into words”, Darboh told MGoBlue.com. Both of his parents were killed in the fighting, and The Ann Arbor News has the definitive profile on him, which is worth your time.
It was there Darboh became a football standout at Dowling Catholic High School, a consensus 4-star receiver, and a recruiting target for the Michigan Wolverines.
“Growing up, I have considered myself an American, and this was the final step”, Darboh said.
Darboh was running a stop-and-go route near the left sideline and reached up with his right hand to make a near-impossible one-handed catch.
