Hillary Clinton email controversy continues with new batch found

The discovery appears to contradict Clinton’s sworn statement that she had turned over all the email from her private server to the State Department.

Aides from Clinton’s presidential campaign have yet to explain or address the discrepancy.

Today’s AP report confirms Bloomberg’s reporting from earlier this week that the FBI has been able to recover personal and work-related e-mails from her private computer server from Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state. Even on the day of her hiring, a State Department legal official told Abedin that she had still not provided necessary information on a government ethics form requiring her to disclose any outside agreements or transactions. In a tweet to a reporter from the Associated Press, Fallon wrote, “We always said the emails given to State dated back only to March [‘]09″.

Clinton apologised this month for her email set-up, saying it was unwise. Republicans are most likely to say the best presidents come from those who have never been elected, 31% think so, and are least likely to say experience in the Senate or House is the best preparation (14%).

“Hillary and Senator Sanders have laid out pretty detailed, positive policy positions, talking about what they would cost and, you know, you could actually have a debate there”, the former president said.

The State Department received the emails from the Department of Defense “in the last several days”, State department spokesman John Kirby said.

“That was a mistake, I’m sorry about that, I take responsibility”. The official said the emails were found because they have now been digitized and are easier to search. The committee broadened its scope after examining tens of thousands of documents more specifically focused on the Benghazi attack.
