When is Google’s birthday, really?
The on-line search engine big Google celebrates its seventeenth birthday with a easy but nostalgic doodle.
Notably, Google has been celebrating its birthday with a Doodle every year since its fourth birthday in 2002.
Coincidentally, on 17th Birthday of Google, PM Narendra Modi met Tech Honchos at Silicon Valley at San Jose in California.
However, some reports point out that Google is itself not sure of its birthday.
The blogpost reads, “To assume we made it this far without a little luck, though, would be like assuming lava lamps, turtlenecks, and servers held together by building blocks are harbingers of success“.
Of course, Google had begun much earlier in January 1996, which means Google is actually 19 years old.
But the company filed incorporation papers on 4 September 1998, though it has never used this date as its birthday, and since 2005 it has marked its birthday on 8 September, 26 September, and since 2012, 27 September.
In 2004, its 6th birthday Doodle went online on September 7 and in the year before that, it was September 8. Logo, features on Google’s homepage on September 27, which the internet giant has retroactively chosen as its birthday.
