Missing schoolboy Joshua Oxley found
A 12-year-old boy who disappeared on his way home from classes have gone missing police have revealed.
Joshua Oxley, 12, from Rotherham, was last seen at nearby Chapeltown railway station about 19:00 on Tuesday.
Further CCTV has been found which shows Joshua at gaming shop Red5 in the Core Shopping Centre this morning at 10.45am.
“At the time that Joshua was last seen at the train station there are likely to have been other commuters who will have seen Joshua”.
The 12-year-old Winterhill School pupil was traced this afternoon after South Yorkshire Police teamed up with colleagues from the West Yorkshire force.
Joshua is young boy who has now been missing for over seven hours and we along with his family are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.
“What we do know is that Joshua left Winterhill School, which is based on High Street in the Kimberworth area of Rotherham, around 3.50pm”. Did you see Joshua or interact with him?
He said: “He has been missing before but never overnight”.
‘We do not believe Joshua has a phone or access to any money and will still be wearing his school uniform’. Supt Paul McCurry, of Rotherham locale police, said Joshua’s vanishing was abnormal and could have been as an aftereffect of a minor occurrence at school on Tuesday.
“As you can imagine this is a very hard time for his family”.
He was also carrying a red-coloured backpack and had a grey hoodie top, officers said.
He is described as white, 4 foot 6′, with a slim build and short, light brown hair.
