Baylor team rides, supports Tour de Pink for 11th consecutive year
The Aberdeenshire West MSP joined fellow parliamentarians in supporting Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraiser, “Wear it Pink” – donning pink attire in Holyrood this week to encourage people across Scotland to get involved.
There will be more than 200,000 women in the US diagnosed with breast cancer this year, according to the American Cancer Society.

Breast cancer is not a sole disease.

He cites his daughter and his sisters as being sources of inspiration for his involvement with the campaign because he knows that breast cancer can run in families.

The plane will be shown to Wheels Up members in October, dubbed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, at a private event hosted in cooperation with Dr. Elis Port and the Dubin Breast Center of the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
“The thing that is important is, great strides have been made, but this disease is a long way from being defeated”, he said. The group cited concern regarding false positive results (meaning, something abnormal is found on the mammogram, but it turns out not to be cancer).
“We are able to help prevent unnecessary admissions to emergency departments because we’re in contact with our clients… we can contact them and work out what their needs are”, she said. This finding identified genetic characteristics of more aggressive tumors are more likely present among black women.

Breast Cancer Support Care was founded by Calgary physician Ardythe Taylor – a breast cancer survivor – in 2003. In over past 20 years, breast cancer death rates have shown a decline due to better screening and treatments.
