Apple’s new iPhones hit store shelves
Jefferson Siegel/New York Daily News Randy Davis, 29, from Bushwick, Brooklyn, holds his new 64GB iPhone 6s, which he bought to replace his broken iPhone 5s in front of the midtown Apple Store.
“The most important thing is that whenever the iPhone comes out, whenever I trade, I don’t lose that much money”, he said. First released in 2007, the iPhone is Apple’s best-selling device to date.
Not only that, iPhone 6S Touch ID features a two-step quality where the user’s touch to the screen firstly wakes up the display and then takes them to the Home Screen. Of course, we are almost forced to cover up our smartphone jewelry with ugly cases, even more so with the last two models featuring rounded edges that undoubtedly lead to more floor impacts. First up, photo experts tested the upgraded 12 megapixel camera and compared it to previous models.
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, which start at $199 and $299 with a two-year contract with a mobile service provider, go on sale on Friday in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Cheng Guo Sun, a graduate student at Illinois Institute of Technology, said he lined up for a new phone Friday because he wanted the new 3D touch feature. A deep press on the phone icon, for example, lets you create a new contact, and a deep press on iBooks lets you search the store.
This new hue accounted for over one third of the early sales in stores according to one online analysts citing buyers who were speaking about their purchases.
Verizon this week announced a new annual iPhone upgrade plan – yet another move among wireless providers jockeying for iPhone customers.
You’ll be hearing a lot about it over the next several months, and you might even see it in other phones. This isn’t a groundbreaking feature like Siri, which, by the way, works better than ever on the iPhone 6s Plus.
As Apple has accustomed its fans every year, the “S” line looks the same as its predecessor.
Still, consumers like Rachel Cortez are ready to try out anything new from Apple.
Samaya Orpilla, 35, a California native waited three hours to get her 16GB rose gold phone.
