Sia Stuns In New Anthem “Alive”
Alive was initially written for Adele’s upcoming third studio album, and was co-written by the pair alongside Tobias Jesso Jr.
According to press releases, the “Skyfall” singer’s incoming album will be her last record deal with music company XL/Columbia Records.
And though the song fits Sia’s powerhouse vocals perfectly, it’s clear with certain intonations and in the way that this song builds that it could have gelled well as a new Adele cut.
“Then she gave it back to me and I was relieved”.
The new single, Sia’s first from new album “This Is Acting”, was revealed online earlier today. “It’s fun.” It’s a novelty concept, sure, but a rather intriguing one, paired with a new blonde-black wig to convey her playful intentions. Listen to the track over and over until the whole album comes out, and remember that Adele wrote it! Even in her acclaimed music videos, we don’t see Sia’s face, as she uses the pint-side dance phenom Maddie Ziegler as her stand-in.
More updates about Adele and her upcoming album are arriving soon, so stay tuned. She’s calling it that because a lot of the songs are ones she penned with other artists in mind.
“Bye bye 25. See you later in the year x”, she captioned a photo.
But in 2012, festival organiser Michael Eavis said the singer knew they wanted her, but she didn’t want to do a gig their size.
Rumors are also circulating Adele is one of the top bets to headline Glastonbury Festival in 2016, along with Foo Fighters and Coldplay.
“Going on the Pyramid Stage I think is a bit daunting in front of 80,000 people”.
