Montgomery Gentry singer Eddie Montgomery’s son has died
The 19-year-old son of country singer Eddie Montgomery, of Montgomery Gentry, has died. Hunter had spent many days on life support due to injuries he sustained in an accident that happened last week, according to Taste of Country.
Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery is mourning the loss of his son, Hunter. Eddie’s ex-wife Tracy had filed for divorce from him in 2010. They also share two daughters, Brooke and Candace, and a son, Kevin.
Hunter Montgomery had been on life support at a Kentucky hospital before his death.
Hunter had been engaged since August. 30, 2014, and he can be seen proposing to his fiancée in a sweet video shared by Dan Van Media. In 2010, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer (which was removed) and then went through a divorce with wife Tracy Nunan. Montgomery was declared cancer free one year later.
Eddie Montgomery married Jennifer Belcher in 2014.
Eddie partnered with fellow Kentucky musician Troy Gentry in 1999 and have enjoyed several hits including Billboard Hot Country Songs number ones If You Ever Stop Loving Me, Something To Be Proud Of and Roll With Me. “Our sincerest love, thoughts and prayers are with Eddie and his family today”, the band told fans on its Facebook page.
