Tom Hardy would be a great Wolverine: Hugh Jackman
Marvel and “X-Men” fans waiting for updates about the upcoming “Wolverine” movie will be happy with the latest news.
Actor Hugh Jackman at the Japan premiere of his movie “The Wolverine” in Tokyo August 28, 2013.
During Saturday’s press day for “Pan”, where the Australian actor played the pirate Blackbeard, Jackman told reporters that he would like to have a ideal “sign-out” for his “X-Men” character, according to Collider. I’ve just got to let you know my dad is nothing like Wolverine. “I think it’s a really important relationship but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before”. I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one.
The third Wolverine film, slated for 2017, will be the last time Hugh Jackman puts on his adamantium claws, having played the superhero since 2000 in the first X-Men film.
If they can’t find a younger actor to fill Jackman’s shoes, may we suggest Jim Carrey?
Claiming that he has not been approached for the role of British Spy yet, the 46-year-old actor said that he would certainly give it a thought as there is no actor on the planet who wouldn’t think about it, reports E! Jackman explained that he was “completely unknown” when he landed the part of Wolverine and thought it would be nice if the same would happen to someone else. However, for now, Jackman still has still two more years to go, with “Wolverine 3” starting production in the end of next year and the official release set on March 3, 2017.
