Scott maintained the lead through to the second caution of the day for Michael Self hitting the wall on the backstretch which allowed Dillon to win the race off pit road by taking two tyres, as did Roush Fenway’s Darrell Wallace Jr. which meant Scott dropped back to third ahead of Suarez.
After the record-tying 10th caution, Dillon led Blaney, Regan Smith, Chase Elliott and defending race victor Brendan Gaughan on the restart.
“I thought we were a second- or third-place auto, but it just didn’t work out”, Erik Jones said. Matt Tifft rounded out the top-10 in his Xfinity Series debut.
