Double Fatal Fire Reported In Severna Park
Two people were killed early Monday morning in a house fire in Severna Park.
Firefighters said and got here they discovered are smokers and fire using out of your rear end of one’s house. When they searched the home, Davies says firefighters found two people in the front bedroom of the house.
Anne Arundel County fire officials said that fire was reported around 1:45 a.m.in the 100 block of Benfield Road in Severna Park. They were immediately pulled from the building, but were pronounced dead at the scene.
It took about 40 firefighters 30 minutes to control the blaze. Investigators from the Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit are on the scene and the investigation into the fire is active and ongoing. Captain Davies says they usually have only three or four fatalities from fire in a typical year.
On its Twitter feed, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department confirmed the two deaths.
