Legacy High band staging annual fundraising marching fest on Saturday
“It’s just a good tradition, and I appreciate that”.
The first band goes on at 8:45 a.m. and the finals competition will start at 6 p.m., according to Legacy band director Clay Standsberry.
“It’s really remarkable the work that the kids do this early in the season and to see how much time they put in and how much effort they put in to making these shows really enjoyable for the audience”, he said. The same crowd later moved to Cardinal Field to cheer on teams during the second half of the competition.
For Linn-Mar High School senior Brenna O’Hara, synchronizing movement with fellow band members is only part of the process.
A local high school band in dire need of uniforms is now getting help from another area band.
