Mighty No. 9 Gets New Release Date
Over a month past its delay into next year, developer Comcept has finally nailed down a release day for Mighty No. 9.
Mighty No. 9 is the spiritual successor to Mega Man. Players take control of Beck, the only robot in his line that isn’t corrupted by a mysterious virus. In the video, lead composer Manami Matsumae plays part of the game’s Challenge Mode for the first time.
While the game is due out February 9 in the Americas, it will not go live in other territories until February 12.
Mighty No. 9 is an action-platform game that is like Mega Man and Dead Rising. Well the good news now is that Comcept has just announced the new official release date: Mighty No. 9 will launch in North America on February 9, with the worldwide release three days later on the 12th. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state. The game will be available in physical and digital formats for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. The game will also be available digitally for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Linux, and Mac. A portable version of Mighty No. 9 for the 3DS and Vita is also in the works and will be released at a later date.
