Apple iPhone ‘Bendgate’ is over

If you were unimpressed with the battery on the iPhone 6s when it was unveiled recently, you may want to think again.

Unfortunately, rumors regarding the iPhone 7 are not exactly reliable right now, although it doesn’t hurt to get an early idea of what the Apple’s latest offerings might be bringing to the table.

The 3D touch feature is one thing that really stands out in the iPhone 6S series.

This year’s iPhones are more durable than last year’s models, according to a new report from SquareTrade. Logic dictates that smaller batteries mean bad battery life. “While Apple touts the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus as the most advanced iPhones ever, we still found them at the mercy of the most common of all problems – the accidental drop on a hard surface”. It is mostly confirmed, demonstrated and tested in videos and teardowns, and Android skeptics should start reconsidering all the hate at this time.

Running a proprietary benchmark test on the iPhone 6s created to replicate typical power consumption representative of real-life usage, the smartphone news blog found that the iPhone 6s (despite its dinky battery size) lasted longer than every other major premium smartphone besides two: the hyper-efficient Sony Xperia Z3 compact and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have the same overall dimensions as the last version, with new technologies under the hood. Although that performance doesn’t sound too impressive, seeing as the Note 5 has a much larger display with a significantly higher resolution.

The new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are made from aircraft-grade aluminum that will not bend like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus did under certain amounts of pressure.

With the good news about autonomy, the iPhone 6S is becoming even more of a hot topic. Both the devices feature a beefier 12-megapixel camera sensor in the rear, and Apple went on record to state that instead of just bumping up the pixel count, they have tossed in all sorts of hardware enhancements to make sure that the cameras on its new flagship handsets are as crisp as possible compared to previous generation iPhones.
