Facebook.com down for some users
Facebook, which claims to have around 1.2bn monthly users, crashed shortly after 8pm United Kingdom time and remained inaccessible for around 45 minutes.
In a famous scene the actor, who played Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, fumed: “The social network would never go down, it would never crash”.
A number of angry posts on the other social media networks this morning appeared to show the outage was worldwide. But three times in the span of 11 days?
Luckily, Twitter is also still up, so Facebook users can complain about the site not working in their tweets. While the outages didn’t last very long, it’s very unusual to have so many of them concentrated around a relatively brief time period.
FACEBOOK is down again and appears to be unusable on all platforms.
Facebook did not be immediately respond to a request for comment about the latest outage. We sent out a request today as well, though at this rate, we’re not expecting a reply.
However, it turned out that it was merely a Facebook fault that brought the site down. The three outages in September 2015, however, are seriously putting its reliability into question.
Check back for updates on this developing story. “We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can“.
Of course it’s more than just the Graph API, but at least the company is finally acknowledging the existence of an issue.
