Stanford vs. Oregon State Live Stream: Pac-12 College Football Game Coverage
The Beavers bounced back with a fourteen point win over San Jose State. Stanford clung to a 21-17 lead headed into the halftime. “Our inability to have success on first down (on both offense and defense) was a killer”, he said.
“Our offense started to roll a little bit, we started getting the passing game going, the running game was good”, he said.
The Beavers finished with 386 total yards.
“I knew the whole week I was going to go”, Hogan said.

Instead of an easy score, the Beavers stopped the Cardinal cold and a field goal try misfired.
Toughness has been a Stanford trademark, and this team seems to have it. That starts with quarterback Kevin Hogan, who played through an ankle injury and threw for 164 yards with two touchdowns.
Taking most of the snaps was true freshman Seth Collins, who flashed brilliantly in the run game but too often misfired throwing the ball.
And credit the Beavers for avoiding a potential disaster to open the second half. A fair catch interference call gave Stanford the ball at the 45.
“We didn’t make enough plays in the second half”, Villamin said.
The question remaining with Stanford is its defense.
“We ran the ball very physically”, Shaw said. They made more plays than we did, so hats off to them. “Our receivers have to come in and make big plays when they’re loading the box and playing press coverage”. “I’m just more concerned about the loss”.
McCaffery, who was ripping off chunks of yardage for the Cardinal, set off on a long run but lost the ball to Manase Hungalu at the OSU 21. Collins launched a flawless 40-yard touchdown bomb to Villamin to close the gap to 35-24 with 13:21 to play.
He threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns, gritting out a 41-31 win that put Stanford back in the rankings.
Stanford drove 63 yards on its first drive before scoring on a 1-yard run by tailback Remound Wright to take a 7-0 lead less than six minutes into the game.
The Beavers ABSOLUTELY needed to stop Stanford on their next drive to have a shot at closing the gap.
They went 58 yards in 10 plays, mixing a few nice pass plays with strong runs. Defensively, the Stanford Cardinal yield 173.0 yards in passing and 139.7 yards in rushing. Rector made a twisting catch and raced the short distance into the end zone for a 28-17 lead.
Hogan hit the Beavers with a 42-yard touchdown strike to break the tie in a matter of a moment. On second down, Hogan fired a pass to receiver Rector deep down the right sideline.
Stanford came into this one on Friday night as a 14-point favorite and were able to cover the spread.
Though the Beavers drew within 21-17 on a 24-yard field goal by Garrett Owens, it could have been worse for Stanford.
