British tourists facing Italian jail time after frolicking nude in historic
A group of British tourists made themselves way too comfortable at the popular tourist attraction Sunday, and are now facing charges of obscenity stemming from their early morning skinny dipping session, the Mirror reported.
According to the website, The Environmental Dimension Partnership Ltd provides independent environmental planning and design advice to the landowners, property and energy sector clients throughout the United Kingdom from offices in the Cotswolds, Shrewsbury and Cardiff.
The British tourists were seen frolicking nude in the historic fountain.
They were followed by their slightly more restrained female colleagues, who went topless but kept their underwear on.
One witness said the group looked like an orgy. “One of them was very young and blonde”.
Another eyewitness said: “They were there for about half-an-hour singing and shouting”.
Officers from the municipal police arrived while the tourists aged 25-49 were in the water and invited them to get out and cover up.
They were allowed to return to the United Kingdom on Sunday, where some are likely to have some explaining to do to their wives and partners.
The four men and two women, believed to be architects from Gloucestershire, had been drinking when they made a decision to take a dawn swim in the fountain of the Naiads, in piazza Repubblica, in the city centre, police say.
