Fossil’s Android Wear smartwatch breaks cover
We also know its name, meet the Q. Today Fossil gave a preview of their Q line which includes three varied devices that can appeal to various fashion and/or fitness enthusiasts.
Even though Fossil didn’t say anything about the hardware components of their new Android Wear smartwatch, we should be able to guess them already.
In March 2014, Google officially introduced Android Wear, their new software platform for smartwatches and other such wearables.
The first device is a connected bracelet, the second a connected “non-display” watch and the third is a round-faced Android Wear smartwatch.
The only issue many had with the original Fossil leak was its Moto 360-like flat tire display.
For enterprises users, the fact that the Fossil Q does not need a particular brand of smartphone to function and that it provides notification management should prove attractive.
Look for the Fossil Q online and in stores this holiday season.
While we’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop with the launch of these new Fossil wearables, the company does have the option to register your interest, should you be holding out to purchase one. All three can track movement, manage notifications, and come with a companion app. This will undoubtedly be enticing for users who are thinking about investing in a stylish smartwatch but don’t want to be limited by their choice of smartphone.
