Police probe death of Worcester 2-year-old
Police are investigating the death of a two-year-old girl in Worcester, Massachusetts. The mum said the girl appeared to be found unresponsive prior to work the police.
Emergency responders have been sent for a place on Wellington Street at 11:27 a.m. after getting a account of a child who might wasn’t respiratory, police say.
Around lunch time, the girl’s brother told his mother that the little girl was not breathing. He says he called 911 and tried to perform CPR but was unable to open the baby’s mouth. “She was pale. She was not responsive in the eyes”.
The cause of death is unknown and will be determined following an autopsy.
Police were at the apartment Monday afternoon questioning family members, friends and witnesses.
Officials from the state Department of Children and Families said Monday night, “The department is investigating this incident and working with local law enforcement”.
