Two teens killed in accident involving GSP patrol auto
The Paulding County School District was providing six grief counselors this morning at South Paulding High School after two of its students were killed in a Saturday night wreck in Carroll County, a district official said.
Authorities say the State Patrol Dodge Charger and a Nissan Sentra carrying the teenagers collided around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Carroll County.
Kylie Lindsey, 17, and 16-year old Isabella Chinchilla were sitting in the back seat of a Nissan with two teenage boys in the front.
According to Watson, an early investigation revealed that the Nissan was traveling south on Highway 27 near Bremen when Wall tried to make a left turn in front of the patrol auto onto Holley Springs Road.
The driver of the Nissan, Dillon Wall, 18, and another passenger, Benjamin Finken, 17, both of Douglasville, were treated at Grady Medical Center in Atlanta, the patrol said.
Lindsey, who did not have her seatbelt on, was thrown from the vehicle.
Three others, including a state trooper, were injured and taken to the hospital.
This crash is still under investigation by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team. His injuries were not released.
A memorial for the two teen girls has been set up at the crash site.
“It’s really hard. And she was a really sweet, beautiful, very intelligent girl”, friend Chase Leonhardi said of Lindsey.
He added: ‘Everyone knew Kylie, everyone loved Kylie. It’s definitely a really big loss’.
On Monday a prayer service was held for the well-liked girls by their friends before classes started at the high school.
