Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection Demo is Live on PS4
According to industry reporter GameSpot, Sony announced that the new patch 1.000 will include various tweaks, optimizations, and improvements for the games under the anthology collection title.
Not only that, as promised by Naughty Dog already, “purchasing the complete collection, you will also gain access to the multiplayer beta for the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End“. Though before playing it, Naughty Dog has made a few updates and fixes that would require the Day One patch. With 60fps, the games will be much faster and will feel less stilted.
Just showing how big Naughty Dog was thinking, the original pitch video even contained an ambitious contextual battle system that wasn’t implemented until Uncharted 3.
But what wasn’t known until now is why the PlayStation Vita spinoff, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, didn’t make the cut for the collection. It was eventually agreed upon that the three main Uncharted games were the best way to set up the events leading to the 2016 Uncharted game, A Thief’s End.
When “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection” releases next month, players will also need to immediately download a Day One patch in order to thoroughly enjoy the game. “We wanted to keep that as a holistic collection for that reason, and Golden Abyss kind of lives a little bit outside of that”, Naughty Dog‘s Arne Meyer said at EGX. Since the game will not be rolled out any time before October, developers have put up the demo of the game on PS Stores to help them get first-hand experience of what they may be in for.
