FX Teases AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. OJ SIMPSON
“The People v. O.J. Simpson” isn’t set to premiere until February 2016, FX has released the first teaser trailer. The limited series is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers.
Produced by American Horror Story’s Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the series has been adapted by Big Eyes pair Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.
So this is much less about the actual crime itself, as the story takes place after their murders (the court trial that followed), and there will be no flashbacks.
In the first teaser for Ryan Murphy’s new series, we may not any visuals aside from the cast’s names and respective roles in black print over a white background, but we hear a few intriguing sound bytes of John Travolta as Robert Shapirt, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran and Cuba Gooding Jr as O.J. himself.
The cast also includes David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian), Connie Britton (Faye Resnick), Selma Blair (Kris Jenner, formerly Kardashian), Billy Magnussen (Kato Kaelin), Bruce Greenwood (Gil Garcetti), Christian Clemenson (Bill Hodgman), Kenneth Choi (Judge Lance Ito), Sterling K. Brown (Christopher Darden) and Nathan Lane (F. Lee Bailey).
