Snakes alive: Customer gets shock as she finds Burmese python hidden amongst
A customer got more than just a bargain while shopping at a Homestead flea market Sunday morning.
“It’s a good thing she didn’t grab it,” Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue Lt. Scott Mullen told the Orlando Sentinel.
But it’s exactly what one woman found while looking through a pile of clothes at a flea market in Homestead, Florida, ABC affiliate WFTV-TV reports.
An unwanted guest at a flea market in South Florida gave shoppers quite the surprise.
A reporter tried to capture a few video of the snake and it chose to come after her – and she almost dropped the camera!
Firefighters were called to retrieve the snake, which is not poisonous.
He says the snake had a full belly and likely slithered onto the table looking for a place to sleep of its meal.
Mullen said the 7-foot-long serpent appeared to have recently eaten. The snake will now likely be euthanized.
