During talk show host Oprah Winfrey’s “Where Are They Now?” segment, Pintauro revealed over the weekend, that he has finally come to terms with his condition, and was ready to speak about it publicly.

For the past 12 years, Danny has been HIV-positive.

“Tony was great, but I could tell he was a little disappointed, for the drugs part more than anything”. “I’m HIV-positive, and I have been for 12 years”. “It’s just a big deal. It’s not something people are talking about right now, really”.

Matt Damon is in trouble once again for his comments, this time about sexuality and actors being openly gay in Hollywood. He spilled the details in an interview on “Oprah: Where Are They Now“, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW).

“No, I wasn’t anxious because I knew he was taking responsibility for it, and I knew that he was taking care of himself”, she explains. “And believe it or not, I thought that I was being safe in that encounter. I’m ready now”, Pintauro said, in a special about where former stars are now.

Pintauro tied the knot with Will Tabares in 2014.

The former sitcom star admitted that he contracted HIV because he wasn’t careful and was having unprotected sex.

To be fair, Damon was attempting to paint a broad stroke about actors’ ability to maintain a few privacy, but this isn’t the first time in recent weeks that his word choice has bungled a possibly well-intentioned criticism of Hollywood culture.

Pintauro first came out as gay in 1997 after a National Enquirer reporter threatened to reveal his long-kept secret in the tabloid. Pintauro, therefore, made the decision to be candid. “So, for me it’s actually quite surprising that it’s never come out before this”. “It’s a weird combination of feelings”, he said. Pintauro has serious goals and intentions, he said, and he wants to start a door-to-door campaign to make a difference with both issues.
