The Revenant trailer: Leonardo DiCaprio braves bitter cold to survive
“He had to eat the liver”, Fisk said. Of course you wanna see it, or should.
Inarritu has been making The Revenant in sequence, using only natural light and shooting in a few tough locations around the world, often in adverse weather conditions.
Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit.
His injuries allow John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy) to take over, and that includes murdering’s Glass’s “half-breed son” right in front of him and abandoning Glass in a shallow grave to die. With sheer will as his only weapon, Glass must navigate a hostile environment, a brutal winter, and warring Native American tribes in relentless quest to survive and exact vengeance on Fitzgerald.
Directed and co-written by Academy Award victor Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the upcoming film also stars Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter.
The Revenant is set for release on Christmas Day in the States and on January 15th in the UK.
Between Robert Zemeckis’s vertigo-inducing The Walk, opening in IMAX theaters this weekend, and now this new heart-pounding trailer for The Revenant, is this going to be the fall that Hollywood turns us all into adrenaline junkies?
