‘The Walking Dead’ cast and crew tease new season at Comic-Con
It’s been almost four months since season five of The Walking Dead reached its dramatic conclusion: with the return of perennial fan favourite Morgan (played by Lennie James).
That said, finding spoilers for The Walking Dead is an inexact science. Each Sunday, AMC will air a single season of the critically-acclaimed hit beginning Sunday, July 26 at 2:30 p.m. ET/PT through Sunday, August 23.
AMC has released the official trailer for Fear the Walking Dead, the much anticipated companion series to the smash-hit drama The Walking Dead.
Only at Comic-Con can a movie screening turn into a possible set visit.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gimple revealed that while the upcoming season would still stick close to the comics, it would also go deeper into some interesting backstory that Robert Kirkman never developed.
You know, we weren’t sure what to think about this one, but that trailer has us hooked. This is the biggest walker presence that we’ve seen in any trailer so far, and they have one goal: Leveling Alexandria to the ground and infecting as many others as they possibly can. Since Rick’s coma was only for about 4-5 weeks, this will likely comprise just the first season of Fear the Walking Dead not the entirety of the series.
The spinoff stars Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey, Kim Dickens, Mercedes Mason and Shawn Hatosy. According to Den of Geek, Fear the Walking Dead has already been picked up for a second season ahead of its August 23rd premiere. Yes, we’ve seen the little teasers and gotten glimpses at the characters, but now we have an honest to goodness trailer and premiere date!
