Worcester police investigating death of 2-year-old girl found unresponsive at home
As the police investigation into the “sudden death” of a 2-year-old girl continues, family and friends told reporters about finding her unresponsive inside the Worcester apartment Monday.
The form Department of Children and Families says they’re investigating and operating from with the use of police activites.
Police found the girl Monday morning after receiving a report that a child was not breathing. The agency would not say if it had previously been involved with the family.
He said the family has been in contact with DCF and the agency is keeping them “very informed”. “She was pale. She was not responsive in the eyes”.
Relatives and neighbors said there were two other children living in the home. “To me, there’s no need to take my sibling’s kids”. The mum said the girl appeared to be found unresponsive prior to work the police. She died shortly thereafter.
The toddler, he said, was a “very happy baby, full of life and love”.
However, the child’s mother was home with her at the time of her passing.
