Agent goes on insane rant, says Neymar Jr. should join Real Madrid
In an open letter addressed to the Brazilian’s father and posted on his page, Wagner Ribeiro responds to the freezing of Neymar‘s assets saying the issues stemmed from a refusal to join Real Madrid as a teenager.
With a hint of irony, he wrote: ‘Take your money, send everything to tax havens, legally, of course.
A Brazilian investment firm which bought an interest in Neymar has taken legal action against the player, his father and Barcelona in a bid to secure a bigger slice of the transfer fee. This way you will stop paying taxes in Brazil!
“Close your business, the institute and enjoy life on Mediterranean beaches”. Let him finish his career in Europe, preferably at Real Madrid‘.
In the letter, Ribeiro blames Neymar ‘s father for the tax evasion scandal that has damaged the forward’s reputation, and ignoring the agent’s advice for a teenaged Neymar to stay in Europe with Real Madrid after having a trial with the Spanish giants.
The Red Devils eventually ended their chase for the player and instead completed a £36million deal for 19-year-old Anthony Martial from now former club Monaco. You and your family.
“In Brazil, when a poor person becomes rich he has to be a donkey”. Do you know “You leave the slums, but the slums don’t leave you?’ This has intrinsic meaning for the parts of society accustomed to ‘always win”.
Neymar is accused of evading taxes on that amount of money prior to making his move to Barcelona and Brazilian authorities have since frozen the player’s assets – which are worth £33.1m. He planned [Neymar’s] career on the pitch and publicity-wise, built businesses for it. Everything within the law and that was his mistake.
The Brazilian has scored three goals so far this season.
