People protest in Pok demanding freedom from Pakistan, raise pro-India slogans
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and former union finance minister Yashwant Sinha, on Wednesday urged the center to highlight the atrocities of Pakistan in PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) and bring it in focus for the world to see. The people of Indian Occupied Kashmir, including women, are being arrested for hoisting the national flag of Pakistan.
The video which is exclusively available with CNN-IBN shows people protesting in several areas including Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Kotli, with the protesters shouting pro-india slogans.
The Aziz added, “India made a decision to try to quell the Kashmiri struggle by use of brute force”.
Addressing a meeting of OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir in New York, he said Pakistan’s principled position on the Kashmir dispute is based on the UN Security Council resolutions.
Aziz said Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India at any level without any preconditions.
The resident of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK), who was detained in the frontier district of Poonch, was today deported through Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point on the Line of Control (LoC). “From our side it will only be political, moral and diplomatic support for them and that we will continue to extend but there is no answer for the propaganda”.
Recently, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif raised the K-issue at the United Nations. These can’t be called sporadic protests, as the swelling crowd, and the police and Army presence is a clear indicator that these agitations are a force to reckon with.
The demonstrators were protesting against the violation of human rights committed by the Pakistan force in the regions of valley administered by the neighbouring country.
