Most unsafe Celebrities To Search Online
Country star Luke Bryan is high up on the list of celebrity searches that can lead to websites installing viruses or unwanted software on fans’ computers.
Dutch EDM DJ Armin Van Buuren has been named the most risky celebrity to search online in a new survey.
The company uses its own site ratings to compile the celebrity list.
Also on this year’s list: Amy Schumer, Nina Dobrev, Lorde and Betty White. A Katy Perry search carries a almost 15% chance of connecting with a tainted site. Turns out stingy music lovers are easy targets for hackers: According to Intel’s press release, one in five searches for “Armin Van Buuren” together with “free MP4”, “HD downloads”, or “torrent” landed users at a malicious site.
Seven of the top ten most risky celebrity searchers are big-budget musicians. Awards shows, TV programmes, movie and album launches and celebrity breakups are often the pegs for fake pages. Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Kenny Chesney, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, Kanye West, Afrojack Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas all present a raised online risk.
