“There are marked incidences of girls committing suicide after massive Twitter bullying”, Dunham said.
The actress, who is dating guitarist Jack Antonoff (a member of the band Fun), says being constantly exposed to such negativity can create “cancerous stuff inside you” and she decided enough was enough.
She’s one of the gutsiest young stars in the spotlight, but even Lena Dunham has her limits.
