Harrison Ford Makes Surprise Appearance at ‘Star Wars’ Panel at Comic-Con

The “Episode VII” director wasn’t ready to release any new clips or another trailer just yet.
The gruff Ford talked about his reluctance to revisit the world of “Star Wars” and the character of Han Solo, saying 30 after the original it “should have felt ridiculous”.

“I honestly was sitting there in shock when he said, oh you guys are all going to be filed out here we have a surprise for you”, said Katherine Heflin.
Younger stars graced the stage, including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac.
He said: “The original Star Wars was the beginning of my working life, I was very happy to be a part of the story and the cast again”.
As is his usual nature Ford joked around while answering fan questions about how he is doing after the scary accident that left him hospitalized for about a month and how it felt to be back on stage playing Han Solo.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens nationwide on December 18. I was very grateful for the opportunity I had and the success of that film.
Domhnall Gleeson, whose character’s name was revealed to be General Hux, didn’t hesitate to say that he was evil.
Gwendoline Christie, who plays the “chrometrooper” as fans have dubbed her character Captain Phasma, said coming over to the convention center made it all real for her. “I had a moment when I was in the vehicle coming over here where I realized I hadn’t really… come on board that I was in Star Wars“.
The panel also presented a behind-the-scenes reel of The Force Awakens with a peek at everything from makeup to stunts as the cast weighed in on the experience of returning to the galaxy far, far away.
