Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel address their feud in couples therapy
Monday when describing the “Bourne Identity” star’s new sci-fi drama directed by Ridley Scott. “I took this sh- and f- busted the ratings wide open”, Damon said. So couples therapy it is.
So did they work things out?
“He promised me over a decade ago that I was going to be able to be a guest on the show”. “I come and I wait, every night”. “We have other guests – which he doesn’t care about, obviously – I have a monologue to do, we have a band, sometimes we have important commercials to run…” “He thinks he is the only celebrity in California”.
Matt explained his “abduction” of Kimmel was to make the host feel like he does every day – that he wants to be on the show, but is physically unable to.
“I imagine it would suck to be him”, Kimmel responded when asked to put himself in The Martian star’s shoes. As the show’s popularity grew, Damon started popping up, but Kimmel regularly found a reason to bump him.
Damon walked out on stage at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” dressed as Dr. Phil as he attempted to sneak his way onto Kimmel’s show.
As the session continued, Damon revealed that he doesn’t just show up each night, but actually lives in the dressing room, while Kimmel insisted that the actor was a spoiled star who could not accept that Kimmel wasn’t his show. “It’s not a movie star body”, Kimmel said.
Howard Stern has stopped by numerous times to converse with his fellow talk-show host.
